7 more weeks!!!!

33 weeks Pregnant:
It has been so crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone by! 7 more weeks until the angel is here! I think it's going to be the longest 7 weeks because now we get to play the waiting game!

Shayna has had a blast talking and playing with all the baby stuff we have gotten out. She says her name, plays with her shoes. We ask her where sister is she rubs my belly then rubs hers haha! It has been really fun! We know we are going to have to fight her for alone time with sister. She is going to think she is all hers :-)

We have been enjoying family time the 3 of us. We finally have gotten Shayna to sleep in her "big girl bed" all night long so Willie and I have definitely been enjoying a bed to ourselves and actual good night sleeps until our addition comes. We have had quite a few family fun outings. This weekend we went out to Red Rock on a little hike! Super fun day!

I feel the baby moving allllll the time! I do not remember feeling Shayna this much! But they always say the second one you feel more, its true. She is a big wiggle worm in there. It is the most amazing feeling, pretty indescribable! Today Shayna fell asleep with her head on my belly. Baby sister was kicking her like crazy. Already fighting over mom!

We cannot wait to meet our little angel. I have been so much more exhausted after long days then I was with Shayna. It's probably because I am chasing around our monster girl all day.

I am going crazy nesting wanting everything to be perfect for her arrival! Our lives are going to change all over again for the better. I feel so blessed! It will be an adventure, parenting a 2 year old and a new born but we cannot wait!!!

Little Walks

Life as a mother to this girl is indescribably amazing!
Tough at times but I cannot describe the feeling of having so much love for one thing!
It has been incredible to see Shayna grow and change so much everyday.

She has so much personality. Being a late blogger (should have started 2 years ago when I had her I have a tone of milestones to catch up on).
This post is dedicated to our little beauty! Before we know it we will be blogging about our 2 special girls so Shayna needs her solo time!!!

I cannot believe she is 2!!!!!
We officially are parents of a toddler! She understands most of what we tell her, has her own opinion about things, and TALKS a ton!!

She is the most beautiful thing ever!
*Not just saying that because I am her mom ;)
I saw her in a dream when I was pregnant and she has every feature I dreamt she had. From those big brown eyes to that button nose!

Boy is she spunky!
Keeps us on our toes....that is for sure!

She loves learning!!!
Loves Library trips :) and her Bella! These two have so much fun together!

We call this the "story time" blanket. April made it for me when I was pregnant with her and it is seriously my FAV! Well our FAV! Shayna gets so excited when this thing comes out because she knows its story time!

She loves to explore and has begun asking "WHY???" to everything!
She is adventurous to an extent. She will not try new things unless we are right there next to her. She just barely like last week got over her fear of slides! Still our baby!

Loves her Cousins! Like a TON!!!
She wants to do everything the older girls do! It is super funny! Such a girly girl!
She lovesssss dress up too!

Wishes she could ride her bike!
She is not strong enough yet it is so fun to see her try though!

Has been OBSESSED with grapes and apples lately!
Will eat whole apples and the entire bowl of grapes if we let her!

One milestone that we absolutely have fallen in love with is her concept of prayer.
Every morning, night and before meals we either kneel at mommy and daddy's bed or at the table for prayer. She folds her arms, closes her eyes and she repeats some words. One day Will had his eyes open to see what she was doing and she yelled at him to close his eyes!!!

She has started calling me mom now. It is so funny! No more mama status straight up MOM what are you doing??? Or MOM come here! Willie is DAD sometimes but most the time DADDY. She has been so concerned lately with where daddy is ALL the time when he is away for work or school and always asks to call him in the mornings it so cute!

She is starting to understand a little sister is on the way, with us going through all the baby stuff and getting everything ready but boy is she about to get her world ROCKED!!!! I think I am going to be fighting her for baby sister all the time! She is going to want to be everywhere sister is, well we hope haha!

We love our little girl more then anything in the world! Cannot wait to experience all the changes she will make in these crucial, fun toddler years....just wish we could STOP TIME!!!!

Caught being Crafty

With my obsession for change as seen from our new pallet additions, I was busy with some home decor crafts in January! Boy do I loveeee craft time! All these crafts were under $5 or free, no joke!

Burlap Banner with Thrifted Burlap Trim Frames:
A painted burlap banner from the wedding used as new decor! Frames were thrifted for super cheap all to make my new favorite wall in our rustic casa!

RUSTIC FRONT DOOR WREATH:
Fabric flowers from an old yellow t-shirt (free), bow was a fabric scrap hanging around, Wicker wreath I got for $2.50 with coupon at Hobby Lobby, the letter F was $2!!!! Under $5 we have a year round adorable door.

PILLOW COVERS:
These were super easy! All the fabric was from my sister in law who thrifts sheets. I just made easy envelope covers. They were done in one night. I made like 10 so I can interchange as the year goes on :) Thank you Pinterest!

SINK STAND:
Totally FREE project. The candle stick was found in my mom's box of "old stuff" and the plate was part of my grandmothers china (I love that). I just used super glue and with the help of a little craft paint, now our sink is accessory free and we have added some fun to the counter.

PAINTED FRAMES:
All Free! Just used paint I already had and added fake wild flowers to tie in our rustic living room. The copper tin was my grandmother's that I also found in my mom's box of "old stuff". I had been wanting to thrift for something like that to add to the wall shelf, I found it free.

The Great LILIA ROSE:
New banner. I LOVE THIS BANNER. Made by my sister in law, Lilia Todd, it ties our entire living room together. She is so talented. Check out her Etsy shop here. She can make and do custom ANYTHING!

PICTURE BLOCKS:
These are decoration on our "PS3 throne" and decor in the Girls Room as well as fun for their bookshelves! I have all the ABC's and numbers for the ones for the girls and a family pictures with scrapbook paper to fill the rest of the sides. These are so fun!
My sister in law Candace did these for my parents years ago and all the grandkids love these when they go to Grandma & Grandpas. So these will be really fun for us to have throughout the years!

All you need:
-Wood from Home Depot
-Someone with a saw to cut them for you
-Sander
-Paper, pictures, picture corner cutter
-Mod Podge (layer for bottom and layer over the top)

Here is a pic of them in action on our entertainment center, girls room pics to come later!

I am loving the new additions to our home and cannot wait to show what I have been working on for the Girls Room and the new baby on the way!!! 8 more weeks today and she's here!

Put some Pallet in your life!

I get decor crazy sometimes.
Since I was a kid at least ever 6 months I had to re-arrange my room or re-decorate. I get bored of the same old decoration situation. It was my dream to be an interior designer for years! Turned out with college on a Volleyball scholarship art institutes are not big sports schools so I took a different route. I always told Willie well it may not be my profession but it is a passion so one day when we have money I will get the perfect home I want :) designed all by my head.

Anyways after Christmas it was time for some change. I have been well obsessed with the whole "Rustic" look ever since the wedding and began to get pallet wood project crazy!
Here is a tour of the recent projects I have made my amazing dad and Willie perform for me!!!
All from Pallet Wood!

1- My very favorite:
Target Cubical turned into what we call our PS3 throne. It serves as our entertainment center under the TV and boy and I am in LOVE!

Back Side:

2- Pallet bookshelves for the Girls Room:

These turned out great! Thank you Pinterest!

 3- Pallet End Tables:

Oh how I love pallet wood! We live in a small 2 bedroom townhouse, if I only had the space oh the possibilities!!!!! I hope these last longer then 6 months for Willie and my dads sake! They both did all the dirty work! I am in love with our rustic casa! More projects to come!
